Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province announced the “the list of newly recognized provincial-level enterprise research and development institutions in 2023”, and fortunately, Zhejiang Jndia Piping System Equipment & Material Enterprise Research Institute was honored to be listed among them. This marks another milestone for Zhejiang Jndia Pipeline Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as JNDIA) after being voted as a National-level “Little Giant Firm”-an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise or SME this year.

“Provincial-level Enterprise Research Institute” , which is a relatively independent and high-level  provincial-level R & D institution located within the enterprise and serves as the core driving force of the enterprise’s innovation-driven development, is an important initiative taken by the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province to promote the comprehensive and in-depth implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, establish and improve technological innovation systems, and readjust the distribution of high-tech enterprises.

Based on the Construction and Management Measures for Key Enterprise Research Institutes in Zhejiang Province, Construction and Management Measures for Enterprise Research Institutes in Zhejiang Province and Construction and Management Measures for High-tech Enterprise Research and Development Centers in Zhejiang Province, the expert review panel, during this recognition, gave full consideration to multiple aspects of the enterprise’s business innovation capacity, technological development ability, product market potential and research level of personnel, and after assessment, evaluation, review and public notice, Zhejiang Jndia Piping System Equipment & Material Enterprise Research Institute was officially recognized as a “Provincial-level Enterprise Research Institute”.

Zhejiang Jndia Piping System Equipment & Material Enterprise Research Institute has always been committed to material research and process innovation, adhering to self-innovation and self-supporting, gathering outstanding scientific and technological talents and building a R&D team; Actively exploring solutions for piping system and intensively practicing marine piping system modules and their scenario-based applications; Striving to break through the “bottleneck” in technology, advance the disruptive innovation of cutting-edge technologies and practice the industrialization of industrial applications. Currently, JNDIA has owned over 70 national patents, led the preparation and release of the Zhejiang manufacturing standard “Stainless steel butt-welded pipe fittings for ships” and participated in the formulation of four national standards, one industry standard and one group standard.

In the next stage, JNDIA will further strengthen the construction of provincial-level enterprise R&D institution and constantly improve the enterprise’s organizational structure, management systems, and operational mechanisms. In addition, it will also gather innovative elements, increase R&D investment, seek breakthroughs in core technologies and enhance innovation capacity in

order to achieve the construction goals and tasks effectively and efficiently, play a guiding and demonstrating role in the implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy, and make new contributions to building three major science and technology innovation hubs and promoting high-quality development.
